Privacy Policy

MailScope (“we”, “the app”) is a Gmail inbox viewer that signs you in with Google OAuth and displays the 50 most recent messages from the Gmail account you connect.

Information we access

When you tap Sign in with Google, MailScope requests:

  • Basic Google profile: name, email address, and profile photo
  • Gmail read-only access (gmail.readonly) so we can list and display inbox messages

How that information is used

Profile details identify the signed-in account in the dashboard. Gmail message metadata and bodies are fetched from Google’s Gmail API and shown only to you in this app. We do not send mail, change labels, or modify your inbox.

Storage

OAuth tokens are stored in an encrypted session cookie on your browser so the dashboard can call Gmail while you are signed in. MailScope does not keep a separate mail archive, advertising profile, or third-party inbox database.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Message contents are not shared with other MailScope users. Google processes sign-in and Gmail API requests under Google’s own policies.

Retention and deletion

Sign out to clear the local session. To revoke Gmail access, visit Google Account permissions and remove MailScope.
